The Spa Six Hours is a full weekend of historic motor racing on the famous circuit at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. The Ardennes hills are just gaining their autumn colours at this time of year making this tree lined circuit more attractive than ever.
The weekend programme features more than 600 historic racers take to the circuit to battle it out in front of the crowds. Cars such as the Ford GT40, Jaguar E-Type, AC Cobra, Chevron B8 and Lola T70 will all be racing, recreating the images of Fangio, Ascari, Hill, Brabham and Clark in their prime.
The highlight of the race weekend takes place on Saturday afternoon with the titular six hours endurance race that sees 100 cars start in the light of day and finish in the dark of night. The racing is tight and atmosphere is electric.
For the spectators the event is unusually access all areas. Paddocks are open and viewing of the work in the garages is actively encouraged. The relaxed, end of season atmosphere allows everyone to enjoy the event at their own pace. The Spa Six Hours is really an event for experienced drivers in beautiful historic racing cars with the knowledgeable spectator along for the ride.
